Axiom Technologies in Sydney seeks a seasoned IT Infrastructure Engineer to coordinate activities from simple tasks to complex plans, delivering onsite/on-call support to end-users and ensuring reliable service delivery.

You will design and support Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/XenServer, NetScaler/ADC, VMware and Hyper-V, administer Windows Server and SCCM, and drive PowerShell automation for 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of network, storage and data-centre infrastructure experience.
• 7+ years of Wintel engineering/architecture.
• 6+ years with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/XenServer design, migration and troubleshooting.
• 2+ years with Citrix NetScaler/ADC HA and load balancing.
• Minimum 2 years each with VMware and Hyper-V.
• Strong Windows Server, TCP/IP, OSI layer knowledge.
• Experience with SCCM, PowerShell and converged infra.
• Ability to troubleshoot across all seven OSI layers.
• Strong customer communication, consulting, prioritisation and problem-solving.

• Troubleshoot network, storage, virtualization and data-centre infrastructure issues.
• Monitor system health, performance and availability; implement improvements to reliability and efficiency.
• Develop technical documentation, operational procedures and support processes.
• Collaborate with customers, application owners and infrastructure teams.
• Support 24×7 operations and participate in after-hours support when required.
• Identify opportunities for solution expansion, upselling and cross-selling.

• Strong Windows Server, TCP/IP, OSI model, routing and switching knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM, PowerShell and converged infrastructure.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across all seven OSI layers.
