Job summary

Australian Christian College Swan Hill is seeking a temporary part-time Learning Support Officer to assist teachers and students within a Christian Education setting. The role runs two days per week, starting as soon as possible and finishing at the end of term 4, with Mondays and Fridays 8.15am–3.15pm.

You will provide targeted support to students with additional learning needs, work under teachers' direction, and help implement individual learning plans in a collaborative school community that

Qualifications

• Evidence of the right to work in Australia
• Proof of identity
• Clearance status of the Working with Children Check
• References from previous child-connected roles

Responsibilities

• Provide individual or small-group support to students with additional learning needs.
• Support students with disability, learning difficulties, ASD, ADHD and other diverse learning needs.
• Assist students to access and participate in classroom learning.
• Work under the direction of classroom/subject teachers.
• Assist with implementation of adjustments and individual learning plans.
• Support student social, emotional and wellbeing needs.
• Assist with personal care or physical support where required, depending on the position.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, learning diversity staff and families.
