Job summary

My Gateway in Sydney is offering a childcare trainee position that pays you to study a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. You’ll gain hands-on experience with children aged 0–5, learning from experienced educators and building a foundation for a career in early childhood.

You'll support daily programs, observe and document development, assist with activities, enrollment paperwork, and rotate between rooms as you grow.

As a Childcare Trainee, you’ll gain hands‑on experience working alongside experienced educators, caring for and supporting children aged 0–5. You’ll learn practical skills in early childhood education, child development, and program delivery while completing a nationally recognised traineeship. This is a role where you’ll receive guidance and mentorship, not just be part of a team.

Some of Your Duties Will Include:

Supporting educators in daily childcare programs

Assisting with child observations and documentation, including eating and sleeping charts, parent communications, and photography
