Out & About Care & Education Mooloolah Valley is seeking a Diploma qualified educator for a 5-day week to lead a Pre-Kindergarten team caring for 3–4-year-olds. The role requires calm, consistent attendance and dedication to high-quality early childhood education.

You will work with a friendly team across three family-owned centres, document daily programs and observations, maintain safety standards, and support families with clear communication.

Formación

• Diploma qualification in early childhood education.
• Minimum 1 year full-time experience in relevant positions.
• Knowledge of The National Regulations, The National Standard and The National Quality Framework.
• Knowledge of child safety requirements.
• Ability to document daily activities in writing.

Responsabilidades

• Lead or share lead a team of educators in a room for 3–4 year olds (Pre-Kindergarten).
• Work independently, at a calm and unhurried pace.
• Develop trusting relationships with children and display appropriate interactions.
• Complete written programs, observe children and plan suitable experiences daily.
• Ensure safety, wellbeing and hygiene requirements are met.
• Manage documentation of each day and ensure timely, correct records for compliance.
• Cover a range of shift times weekly to share early, mid and late shifts.

This position is for a Diploma qualified educator and requires a 5-day week commitment to fill the role. Sector wide educator shortages have ensured that centres seek employees from far afield, and aim for those who can guarantee dedication and consistency of attendance to the workplace.

Key responsibilities

Lead or share lead a team of education colleagues in a room for 3 – 4-year-old children in the Pre-Kindergarten year

Work independently, at a calm and unhurried pace

Develop trusting relationships with children and show appropriate interactions with them at all times

Complete written programs, observations of children and plan suitable and age-appropriate experiences each day

Ensure safety, well-being and hygiene requirements of working with young children are met

Manage documentation of each day ensuring that all written elements of work are completed in time, correctly and with the frequency required for compliance requirements

Manage a range of shift times each week to ensure the team shares early mid and late shifts equitably

About you

At least 1 year of full-time experience in relevant positions

Patience in abundance

Written ability to document each day

Knowledge of The National Regulations, The National Standard and The National Quality Framework

Knowledge of child safety requirements

The ability to communicate clearly and calmly with others (families, children and colleagues)

Parents know that their child will gently grow and learn with familiar educators and teachers throughout their time with the centres until they head off to Prep year.

Annual salary of $82,241.12 + super
