Job summary

Day One Early Learning Centres in Queensland is seeking dedicated educators to join our team. We provide 21st century early childhood education for children aged 15 months to 12 years and value warm, engaging learning spaces.

We expect a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, proven room leadership, Working with Children Check, First Aid/CPR (Asthma & Anaphylaxis), excellent communication, and leadership ability.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Proven experience to lead a room.
• Working with Children Check.
• First Aid and CPR, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Leadership experience and a responsible person.

Responsibilities

• Communicate well with children, families, colleagues, management and the wider community.
• Plan, develop and implement a Play Based educational program based on the goals and philosophies of the Centre and in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Nurture, care for and educate children aged 1-5 years.
• Delivering consistent high-quality care and presentation to all work practices.
• Support sustainable practices.
• Adapt practice to see the child for who they are and support their individual development.

Day One Early Learning Centre’s are family owned and operated, providing 21st century early childhood education and care to children aged 15 months to 12 years.

Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to:

Communicate well with all stakeholders including children, families, colleagues, management and the wider community.

Plan, develop and implement an Play Based educational program based on the goals and philosophies of the Centre and in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework

Nurturing, caring for and educating children aged 1-5 years.

Delivering consistent high-quality care and presentation to all work practices

To have a good understanding in sustainable practice

Seeing the child for who they are and adapiting your practice to support the child.

Selection Criteria

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

Proven experience to lead a room

Working with Children Check

First Aid and CPR, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training

A passion and enthusiasm for learning

A desire to create warm and inviting learning spaces for children

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Responsible person and leadership experience

Must be available to work a rotating roster from 7.00am to 5.30pm.
