Job summary

Kallara Early Education is seeking a Centre Director and Nominated Supervisor to lead a newly opened 90-place service for children from birth to 6 years. You will drive daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance and nurture strong ties with families and the community.

You will provide coaching to educators, manage recruitment and lead the service through assessment and rating processes, with strong emphasis on quality improvement and team culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience in senior leadership roles in ECEC settings.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and NRegulations.
• Current WWCC and First Aid/CPR/Asthma/Anaphylaxis qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and mentoring to educators and the wider team.
• Oversee day-to-day service operations and occupancy.
• Ensure compliance with NQF, National Law and Regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement and support the Quality Improvement Plan.
• Build a positive, professional team culture and strong family relationships.
• Recruit, onboard and develop educators; support management team.

Job description

As Centre Director and Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operation of the service, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, team development and building lasting relationships with families and the local community. You will lead a newly opened 90-place Early Education Service catering for children from birth to 6 years.

Key responsibilities

• Providing strong leadership and mentoring to educators and the wider team
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service
• Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations
• Driving continuous improvement and supporting the service's Quality Improvement Plan
• Building and maintaining a positive, professional and supportive team culture
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of educators
• Maintaining strong occupancy and developing positive relationships with prospective and current families
• Ensuring high standards of supervision, child safety, health and wellbeing
• Working collaboratively with the Approved Provider and management team
• Leading the service through assessment and rating and ongoing regulatory requirements

About you

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher approved qualification
• Previous experience as a Centre Director, Nominated Supervisor, Assistant Director or in a senior leadership position
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standards and Education and Care Services National Regulations
• A current Working With Children Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• A genuine commitment to child safety and safeguarding
• The ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community
• A proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement
• The confidence to lead, support and hold a team accountable while maintaining a positive workplace culture
