Job summary

Kallara Early Education in New South Wales is seeking a Centre Director and Nominated Supervisor to lead a newly opened 90-place service, from birth to 6 years. You will drive quality, compliance and team development while building strong relationships with families and the local community.

You will guide recruitment, onboarding and ongoing educator development, ensuring occupancy targets and regulatory requirements are met with a supportive management team behind you.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Senior leadership experience in early learning services.
• Solid knowledge of EYLF, NQS and ECEC National Regulations.
• Valid Working With Children Check.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to child safety and safeguarding.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families and staff.
• Proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement.
• Confident to lead, support and maintain a positive workplace culture.

Job description

As Centre Director and Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operation of the service, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, team development and building lasting relationships with families and the local community. You will lead a newly opened 90-place Early Education Service catering for children from birth to 6 years.

Key responsibilities

• Providing strong leadership and mentoring to educators and the wider team
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service
• Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations
• Driving continuous improvement and supporting the service's Quality Improvement Plan
• Building and maintaining a positive, professional and supportive team culture
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of educators
• Maintaining strong occupancy and developing positive relationships with prospective and current families
• Ensuring high standards of supervision, child safety, health and wellbeing
• Working collaboratively with the Approved Provider and management team
• Leading the service through assessment and rating and ongoing regulatory requirements

About you

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher approved qualification
• Previous experience as a Centre Director, Nominated Supervisor, Assistant Director or in a senior leadership position
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standards and Education and Care Services National Regulations
• A current Working With Children Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• A genuine commitment to child safety and safeguarding
• The ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community
• A proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement
