Job summary

Rise & Shine Kindergarten in Sydney is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare nutritious meals for children across our centres. You will follow our menu, accommodate dietary needs, and maintain a safe, hygienic kitchen.

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. We offer generous pay, a supportive team, and benefits including birthday leave and childcare discounts.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Cookery/Hospitality/Chef highly regarded.
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Current Working With Children Check.
• Knowledge of safe hygiene practices.
• Experience working as a cook in a childcare centre will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children following the set menu.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and organised kitchen environment in line with food safety standards.
• Cater to dietary, allergy and cultural needs with care and creativity.
• Manage food ordering, stock rotation, and storage to minimise waste and maximise freshness.
• This is a Full-time, Monday - Friday role, 38 hours per week.
