Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning is seeking a part-time Cook at the Quakers Hill centre to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for children. You’ll support health and wellbeing through scratch-made meals, follow a four-week rotating menu, and align with National Dietary Guidelines.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or childcare cooking experience), a NSW Working with Children Check, and completion of the National Child Safety Foundation Training. Competitive benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies.
• Plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director.
• Maintain high standards of food safety in storage, handling and preparation.
• Work a part time roster of 8.30am to 1.30pm (Mon-Fri).

Pay: $31.36 - $35.44 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
• Work a part time roster of 8.30am to 1.30pm (Monday to Friday).
