Job summary

Rise & Shine Kindergarten in Marrickville, NSW is seeking a dedicated Part-time Kitchen Hand to support our centre kitchen operations from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. This role prioritises food safety, hygiene and accurate meal preparation to meet our children's dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen or childcare preferred but not essential.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is required.
• Working With Children Check (WWCC) required.
• National Child Safety Training (Geccko) required.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus and dietary requirements.
• Reliable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, cooking and plating.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and allergy requirements at all times.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment and food preparation areas clean and organised.
• Ensure meals are prepared in line with the centre’s menu and dietary requirements.
• Maintain safe food storage and handling practices.
• Assist with stock rotation and monitoring kitchen supplies.
• Work closely with educators to meet children’s dietary needs.

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our Rise & Shine Kindergarten team in Marrickville. This part-time position plays a vital role in supporting our Centres kitchen operations!

About the Role:

• Part-time position with set hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am–4:00pm
