Job summary

Manly Minds is a small, supportive psychology practice on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. We are expanding and seeking a Child and Teen Psychologist to work with children aged 4 to 18 and their families.

This independent contractor role offers 2 days per week with flexible days to fit your schedule. You will provide evidence-based interventions, collaborate with schools and healthcare professionals, and contribute to a warm, family-centred care environment.

Qualifications

• General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
• Eligibility for a Medicare provider number.
• A current ABN, or willingness to obtain one, as this is a contractor role.
• A current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Your own professional indemnity insurance.
• Demonstrated experience in assessing and treating children under 14.
• Skill in evidence-based interventions for children, such as CBT, parent-focused approaches and play-based or developmentally adapted therapies.
• Confidence working with parents and carers as active partners in treatment.
• Strong written skills for clinical notes, reports and correspondence with GPs, paediatricians and schools.
• A commitment to ethical, child-safe practice and to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide child and teen psychology services for children aged 4–18.
• Collaborate with schools, GPs and paediatricians.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, play-based approaches).
• Maintain clinical notes, reports and documentation.
