Job summary

Manly Minds in the Northern Beaches is seeking a Child and Teen Psychologist to join as an independent contractor, 2 days per week, serving children aged 4–18 and their families. You will deliver evidence-based, family-centered care with a strong emphasis on collaboration with parents, schools, GPs and paediatricians.

Ideal candidates hold current AHPRA registration, Medicare provider eligibility, and a NSW Working with Children Check, with experience in CBT and play-based or developmentally

Qualifications

• General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
• Eligibility for a Medicare provider number.
• A current ABN, or willingness to obtain one, as this is a contractor role.
• A NSW Working with Children Check.
• Own professional indemnity insurance.
• Demonstrated experience assessing and treating children.
• Skill in evidence-based interventions for children (CBT, parent-focused or play-based therapies).
• Confidence working with parents and carers as active partners in treatment.
• Strong written skills for notes and reports.
• Commitment to ethical, child-safe practice and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Work with children aged 4–18 and their families.
• Provide assessments and treatment for anxiety, emotional regulation, ADHD, autism and related presentations.
• Collaborate with parents, schools, GPs and paediatricians.
• Apply evidence-based, developmentally appropriate therapies (CBT, play-based approaches).
• Engage in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision as needed.
