Job summary

Talent Quarter in Newcastle, NSW is seeking an experienced Psychologist to support children, adolescents and families with assessments and ongoing therapy in a clinic setting. You’ll conduct cognitive, developmental, learning, autism and ADHD assessments, prepare NDIS access and functional capacity reports, and provide feedback to families and schools.

Qualifications

• General AHPRA registration and eligibility for a Medicare provider number.
• Experience working with children, adolescents and families.
• Strong assessment, report writing and therapeutic skills.
• Knowledge of child safety and mandatory reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Clinical Psychology endorsement is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to children and adolescents, working with parents and carers.
• Conduct cognitive, developmental, learning, autism, ADHD and adaptive functioning assessments.
• Prepare NDIS access, functional capacity and other psychological assessment reports.
• Interpret standardised assessments and provide feedback and recommendations to families and schools.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold child safety standards.
