Darebin City Council is seeking a Child Safety Project Officer to advance the Child Safe Framework within our community. Reporting to the Child Safety Advisor, you will manage projects, craft communications and engage stakeholders to strengthen child safety culture across Council and the community.

The role requires collaboration, strong organisation and a passion for protecting children and young people. It is a fixed-term 21-month contract within the Community Life team, with opportunities to

• Experience supporting projects, compliance frameworks or community-focused initiatives.
• Knowledge of child safety practices and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports and presentations.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills; proficient with MS Office.

• Deliver and support projects strengthening the Child Safe Framework.
• Develop communications, reports and resources for child safety awareness.
