Job summary

City of Port Phillip is recruiting for a full-time, permanent Safety Advisor role based in St Kilda. You will support safety advisory across child safety and Health Safety and Wellbeing, partner with People Culture and Safety, and contribute to the Community Wellbeing Division.

The role demands proactive, strategic thinking, strong relationship-building with stakeholders, and capability across safety risk management. Hybrid work is available with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• An experienced professional with experience across both workplace safety and child safety or experience in a similar organisation in a safety advisory or child safety advisory role.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to priorities, systems and processes.
• Ability to build strong relationships with operational stakeholders and the People culture and safety function.

Responsibilities

• Support the maturity of Child Safety and HSW programmes across Council.
• Coordinate the prevention programs with a focus on the Community Wellbeing Division.
• Be part of a focussed team driving continuous improvement across safety risk management.
