• Social work, welfare or psychology qualification and 4+ years experience in child protection or youth and family welfare.
• Specialist child welfare knowledge and ability to engage and support other practitioners.
• Based in Box Hill; fixed-term, full-time role from January 2027 to April 2028.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small team of practitioners receiving and assessing reports of at-risk children.
• Determine if further child protection investigation is required and ensure effective service delivery.
• Manage resources and budget; provide leadership and staff development.
