Job summary

Forrestania Resources is embarking on a transformational growth phase, rapidly transitioning from junior explorer to emerging mid-tier gold producer. The company plans to bring three open pit gold mining operations into production within the next 12 months, and seeks an exceptional General Manager - Technical Services to establish and lead the corporate technical function from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in Australian mining, preferably gold.
• Strong background in mining engineering, geology or technical mining disciplines.
• Proven experience supporting or developing multiple open pit mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Corporate Technical Services division.
• Develop technical governance, policies, systems and reporting frameworks.
• Oversee geology, resource estimation and resource growth strategies.
• Provide leadership across open pit mine planning, scheduling and optimisation.
• Drive exploration programs to extend mine life and opportunities.
• Support feasibility studies, project development and mine start-up.
• Partner with operations to maximise value across mines.
• Manage environmental and regulatory compliance strategies.
• Provide technical guidance to the Executive Team and Board.
• Assess growth opportunities and project development initiatives.
