Castlereagh Imaging in Edgecliff is seeking a Chief Radiographer to lead a dynamic team and work closely with the Radiologist on duty and Operations Manager to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality service.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in radiology workflows and patient care.

• Perform radiography examinations in line with protocols and ethics.

A great leadership opportunity has become available for a Chief Radiographer to join our team at our Edgecliff practice. You will be required to effectively lead and manage a great team of staff to ensure the consistent delivery of superior customer service to our patients. It will be imperative for you to work closely with the Radiologist on duty and Operations Manager to ensure optimal patient flow at all times, appropriate resolution to any practice issues, and a good work environment for all staff.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Carrying out work tasks independentlyclude:
• Provide high level of leadership and motivation to all staff
• Maintain open and consistent channels of communication between Radiologists, Clerical staff, Radiographers, Sonographers and Referrers
• Regular liaison with the Radiologist and Office Manager for effective problem solving between work areas to ensure the delivery of high-quality service and care to patients
• Perform radiography examinations in accordance with business protocols and ethics to ensure service delivery standards are consistently met

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

• Potential to manage/or lead staff with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment of both technical and clerical staff
• Be experienced with current radiology best practices and workflows with an emphasis on delivering a highly effective and efficient service
• High level attention to detail
• Flexibility to attend manager meetings and training as required (these may be after hours)
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to handle a high-pressure environment, manage emotions and effectively work through difficult situations to achieve good outcomes

The hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on skills and experience.
