GIICA in Brisbane is seeking a strategic Head of Information Technology to lead the Authority’s ICT agenda, architecture and cyber security. You will shape the ICT strategy, govern investments and ensure compliance with public‑sector standards.

You will oversee infrastructure, platforms and enterprise applications, drive digital transformation, and manage an ICT team delivering secure, resilient services across GIICA’s operations and venues.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive ICT leadership experience in a complex organisation.
• Strong capability in strategic planning, ICT governance, risk management and cyber security.
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary ICT teams and external vendors.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services, enterprise applications, integration and ITIL-aligned service management.
• Ability to operate with judgement, discretion and political acumen in a high‑profile environment.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and communicate with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualifications in ICT, computer science, information systems, engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualifications desirable.

• Define and implement GIICA’s ICT strategy aligned with goals and government frameworks.
• Implement an integrated ICT roadmap covering infrastructure, platforms, cyber security and enterprise architecture.
• Lead digital transformation to adopt secure, modern technologies and collaborate with business partners.
• Establish ICT governance frameworks, policies, standards and risk controls.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, government ICT standards and information management obligations.
• Govern ICT investments, evaluate business cases and track benefits.
• Lead GIICA’s cyber security program and organisation-wide information protection.
• Deliver reliable ICT services including networks, cloud, devices and collaboration tools.
• Develop business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities for ICT functions.
• Partner with project teams to support controls, analytics, reporting and operational readiness.
• Guide and develop the ICT team; promote a culture of service and continuous improvement.
