Job summary

Revesby Workers’ Club is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership across the group. Reporting to the CEO, you will shape financial strategy, drive governance and deliver insightful reporting while supporting executive decisions.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, oversee audits and regulatory compliance, and develop a high-performing Finance team in a fast-paced NSW environment.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified finance executive with strong commercial judgement.
• Significant senior financial leadership experience in a complex organisation.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and Board-level reporting.
• Strong governance, risk management, internal controls, audit and compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership across RWC and subsidiaries.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership across RWC, its subsidiaries and broader business interests.

Reporting to the CEO and forming part of the Executive team, the CFO will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting informed commercial decision-making and maintaining the strong financial governance required to support the organisation’s ongoing operations and future direction.

This is a broad and influential leadership position combining strategic financial oversight with hands-on financial management. Leading the Finance team, you will work closely with the Board and executive to provide timely financial insights, challenge and guidance, while ensuring robust financial controls, reporting and compliance frameworks are maintained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing strategic financial advice, modelling and analysis to support business planning and commercial decision-making.

Leading the annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.

Delivering timely, accurate and insightful financial and management reporting, including monthly reporting and presentations to the Board.

Providing commercial analysis and financial insights to support operational performance and continuous improvement.

Maintaining effective financial controls and overseeing cash flow, treasury and working capital management.

Overseeing statutory reporting, taxation obligations and internal and external audit processes.

Identifying financial risks and ensuring appropriate controls and mitigation strategies are maintained.

Driving improvements in financial systems, processes, reporting and data integrity.

Overseeing inventory and financial control practices across relevant areas of the business.

Leading, developing and supporting the Finance team while fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Partnering with senior leaders across the organisation to ensure financial considerations are embedded in business planning and decision-making.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a CA or CPA qualified finance executive with strong commercial judgement and the ability to operate comfortably at both strategic and operational levels.

You will bring:

Significant senior financial leadership experience within a complex, commercially focused organisation.

Strong financial and management accounting capability, supported by sound commercial acumen.

Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, analysis and Board-level reporting.

A strong understanding of financial governance, risk management, internal controls, audit and statutory compliance.

The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical insights that support effective decision-making.

A proactive approach to systems, processes and continuous improvement.

Strong leadership capability with the ability to develop and empower a high-performing Finance team.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to constructively influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
