Job summary

nib is seeking a Chief Data & AI Officer in Sydney/Newcastle to shape the enterprise data strategy and drive AI-enabled growth. Reporting to the Group Chief Technology & Transformation Officer, you will lead the evolution of data platforms, ML capabilities, and data-driven decision making across the business.

You will build a high-performing Data & AI function, balance innovation with governance and partner with executive leaders to embed data insights in critical decisions.

Qualifications

• Track record translating emerging technologies into measurable business outcomes.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale data platforms and AI initiatives.
• Credibility influencing boards, executive teams, and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an enterprise Data & AI strategy.
• Lead the evolution of data platforms, ML, and AI capabilities.
• Establish and scale AI as a value-generating capability.
• Partner with executives to embed data-driven decision making.
• Advise Leadership on data opportunities, risks, and investments.
