nib Group is seeking a visionary Chief Data & AI Officer to transform data and AI into strategic capabilities that drive growth, improve customer outcomes, and optimise operations. Reporting to the Group CTO, this role leads enterprise-scale data and AI initiatives with strong governance and business impact.

The candidate will shape the Data & AI strategy, evolve platforms, and partner with senior leaders to embed data-driven decision making across nib.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to translate emerging technologies into measurable business outcomes.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale data platforms and AI initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to connect tech investments to strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an enterprise Data & AI strategy aligned to growth ambitions.
• Lead the evolution of our data platform, machine learning, and AI capabilities.
• Establish and scale AI as a practical, value-generating capability across the business.
• Build a high-performing Data & AI function balancing innovation with governance and trust.
• Partner with executives to embed data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
• Shape industry conversations and represent nib externally on data/AI trends.
• Advise Executive Leadership and Board stakeholders on opportunities, risks, and investments.
