Job summary

The Onset Group seeks a technology leadership leader focused on data governance and responsible AI in Australia. You will guide how data is managed, accessed, trusted and used across analytics and AI, shaping the broader governance framework for the business.

You'll work alongside the CTO and IT/Ops leadership, driving standards, vendor governance and risk management while enabling fast, responsible AI adoption and data initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with data governance and privacy controls.
• Exposure to AI/ML in a business context.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2 and Essential Eight.
• Leadership across IT, data and security domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead data governance, access, trust and usage across analytics and AI.
• Build and drive the responsible‑AI framework aligning with business use cases.
• Develop standards, vendor governance and data handling policies.
• Collaborate with CTO and IT/Ops leadership to balance risk with speed.
