Job summary

The University of Sydney seeks a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, Critical Risk and Compliance, to provide scientific and technical support to the HSW Specialists team. The focus is on Chemical Safety and Occupational Hygiene programs, conducting compliance activities, inspections, risk assessments and investigations to manage technical critical risks within the Specialist portfolios.

You will work to enable the team to respond to changing priorities, emerging risks and areas of greatest

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. occupational hygiene, chemistry, health and safety, science).
• Demonstrated experience in chemical safety management including compliance and assurance activities.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical advice on occupational hygiene or chemical safety risk controls.
• Demonstrated experience developing technical health and safety documentation, including risk assessments, procedures, training materials and occupational hygiene monitoring reports.

Responsibilities
