Job summary

Club Taree in New South Wales is seeking qualified chefs to join our award-winning venue. We offer above award pay and a supportive, mentoring environment as you help prepare, plate and present our seasonal menu with pride.

Role involves cafe and functions prep, stock checks and maintaining food hygiene standards. You will work with a lively team, communicating clearly to deliver great food and service to our customers.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Basics Certificate (NSW Food Authority) required.
• Experience in cooking, plating and menu presentation preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset and hospitality focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily kitchen operations: preparing, cooking, plating and presenting seasonal menu items.
• Focus on delivering great food and service to customers.
• Assist with cafe and functions prep and cooking as needed.
• Build strong, effective relationships and motivate team members.
• Maintain health and safety and food hygiene responsibilities.
• Check, accept and maintain stock.

You will assist in the daily operations of the business through the following duties:

• Planning for and executing tasks such as preparing, cooking, plating and presentation of our seasonal menu
• Placing focus on great food and great service
• Assisting with Café and Functions prep and cooking when needed
• Being able to build strong, effective relationships
• Motivating members of the team
• Being aware of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene responsibilities
• Checking, accepting and maintaining stock

You will need to be able to demonstrate examples of the following experience and skills:

All positions involve working shifts on weekdays, weekends and public holidays - candidates are required to be fully available during the club's operational hours. You must have a Food Handlers Basics Certificate, a requirement set by NSW Food Authority.
