Job summary

Burpengary Community Club is seeking passionate CHEFS who are dedicated to delivering quality meals for our members and guests. You should take pride in creating meals to a high industry standard and thrive in a team environment.

We offer both full-time and casual roles. The full-time position features a 4-day week with a flexible roster including days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Casual shifts provide evening work with 4–5 hour blocks to suit you.

Qualifications

• Significant A la carte and cafe cooking experience.
• Grill, pan and fryer experience required.
• Maintain high standards for food storage, stock rotation and quality.
• Minimise wastage and maintain clean, tidy work area.
• Excellent personal hygiene and HACCP knowledge.
• Follow safe work procedures and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation for restaurant and cafe offerings.
• Prepare and present meals to high industry standards.
• Work as a strong team member and follow direction.
• Operate kitchen equipment and manage time efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene practices.
• Maintain stock levels and assist with ordering as needed.
• Collaborate to deliver quality meals for members and guests.

Job description

Burpengary Community Club is located in one of the largest and fastest growing council areas in Queensland (MBCC). The Club’s focus will be to support the immediate area with a Club facility, along with the ongoing support to the community. The Club seats 350 plus in our restaurant including outdoor dining, as well as 100 seat Cafe. There are suitable facilities to compliment our dining offering.

The Roles

Hours of Work

Weekly roster - Full Time position . No Split Shifts, 4 day work week.

Must be available days, nights, weekends, and public holidays

Weekly Roster - Casual Position. Predominantly Function work, would suit someone looking for extra night time hours. Shifts generally 4-5 hours in length.
