Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking a Kitchen Cook for village catering on remote sites. You will prepare buffet-style meals for breakfast, crib lunch, dinner and desserts, working with a supportive team to deliver quality food and service for residents.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, bulk/catering experience, ability to work under pressure, strong time management and safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
• Proven experience in bulk or buffet-style catering.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety compliance.

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

• Work a 2 week on 1 week off roster, earning a salary of $93,138
• Free on-site gym access to stay active on site
• FIFO from Melbourne, Sydney.

The Position

As a key member of our village catering team, you'll prepare high-quality, buffet-style meals for breakfast, crib lunch, dinner, and desserts. You'll work alongside a supportive team of chefs, kitchen utilities, and dining room staff to deliver outstanding food and service for residents.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and serving bulk buffet-style meals with consistency and quality
• Maintaining safe food handling and workplace safety standards
• Managing stock efficiently to minimise wastage
• Providing guidance and support to the broader kitchen team
