Job summary

Cater Care is seeking an experienced Chef to join our remote site operations on a 14/7 FIFO roster, with flights from Melbourne or Sydney. You will deliver high-volume, high-quality meals to a 115-person camp, with 12-hour shifts.

Zero living costs on site, flights, meals, accommodation and uniforms are provided. Join a 100% Australian-owned group delivering catering and facilities services with a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• High-volume bulk cookery experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong safety and hygiene practices are essential.
• Willingness to work a 14/7 FIFO roster.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and presentation across meals and functions.
• Adherence to dietary requirements and allergies.
• Maintain Food Safety Program compliance.
• Assist with stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking.
• Keep kitchen, equipment and utensils clean and organized.
• Follow safety practices and hygiene standards.
• Provide fast, friendly service and support the wider team.

About the Role

Looking for a secure chef role that offers a reliable roster and zero living expenses while on shift? Cater Care is seeking an experienced, passionate Chef to join our remote site operations. Operating on a 14/7 roster Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) from Melbourne or Sydney, you will deliver high-volume, high-quality meal services across a 115-person camp.

• 14 Days On, 7Days Off rotation
• 12-hourshifts
• FIFO flights provided from Melbourne or Sydney

What This Role Involves:

• Food preparation and presentation (breakfast, crib, dinner, dessert and functions)
• Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests)
• Ensure compliance to the Food Safety Program
• Assist with stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
• Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils
• Adherence to legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
• Fast, effective service provided with a smile
• Assisting the broader team as required
• Demonstrate a strong safety culture aligned with the Cater Care Safety Commitments
