Cater Care Group seeks an experienced Chef for its 14/7 FIFO roster at a remote site. Melbourne or Sydney flights included, with 12-hour shifts for a 115-person camp. You’ll handle high-volume meal service, ensure dietary compliance, and maintain strict food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent; bulk high-volume cookery experience is valued but not essential.
• Safety-focused attitude and commitment to hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals for breakfast, crib, dinner, dessert and functions.
• Maintain adherence to the Food Safety Program and hygiene standards.
• Assist with stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized; handle equipment properly.
• Deliver fast, friendly service and support the broader team.
• Follow safety practices and Cater Care commitments.

About the Role

Looking for a secure chef role that offers a reliable roster and zero living expenses while on shift? Cater Care is seeking an experienced, passionate Chef to join our remote site operations. Operating on a 14/7 roster Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) from Melbourne or Sydney, you will deliver high-volume, high-quality meal services across a 115-person camp.

• 14 Days On, 7Days Off rotation
• 12-hourshifts
• FIFO flights provided from Melbourne or Sydney

What This Role Involves:

• Food preparation and presentation (breakfast, crib, dinner, dessert and functions)
• Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests)
• Ensure compliance to the Food Safety Program
• Assist with stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
• Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils
• Adherence to legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
• Fast, effective service provided with a smile
• Assisting the broader team as required
• Demonstrate a strong safety culture aligned with the Cater Care Safety Commitments

To get a start you’ll need:

• Ability to work well independently, as well as with other team members
• A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, sometimes for long periods.

• First rate safety focused attitude
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (high volume bulk cookery experience is highly regarded but is not essential).
