Job summary

Roshana Care Group seeks an experienced Chef Manager to lead kitchen operations in a residential aged care facility. You will oversee meal preparation, menu planning, and dietary compliance while guiding a team to deliver nutritious, appealing meals.

Ideal candidates will hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, have supervisory experience in aged care, and possess strong food safety knowledge including HACCP. Join a values-driven team focused on resident wellbeing and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chef (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
• Experience in a supervisory or management role (aged care preferred)
• Food Safety Certificate
• Strong understanding of dietary requirements in aged care settings
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Passion for delivering high-quality meals that enhance resident wellbeing
• A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including meal preparation and service
• Develop and implement nutritious, seasonal, and resident-focused menus
• Ensure meals meet dietary, allergy, and texture-modified requirements
• Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff including cooks and kitchen hands
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards at all times
• Manage stock control, ordering, budgeting, and supplier relationships
• Ensure efficient kitchen workflow and high-quality meal presentation
• Engage with residents and care staff to support satisfaction and feedback
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment
