Job summary

Roshana Care Group is seeking a dedicated Chef for our Fig Tree Point Aged Care facility in Newcastle–Maitland. This part-time role runs Wednesday to Sunday, 6am–2pm, in a fast-paced, hands-on kitchen that supports residents with nutritious, delicious meals.

You will join a stable multidisciplinary team focused on person-centered care, safety, and high-quality dining experiences. Certification and prior aged care or hospitality cook experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or chef, ideally within aged care, healthcare, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of nutrition, special diets, and food safety standards.
• A genuine passion for preparing meals that make a difference in people’s lives.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive, reliable attitude and ability to work well within a team.
• A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this.
• Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)

We are looking for Chef to join our aged care team at Roshana Fig Tree Point Aged Care, in a Part Time capacity. We are seeking a candidate who is available for Wednesday to Sunday - 6am to 2pm.
