Job summary

Sodexo is seeking experienced Chefs to join our regional Queensland operations. FIFO from Cairns, you will prepare meals across breakfast, crib and dinner services in a high-volume environment while maintaining HACCP standards.

The role offers a 14:7 roster with meals and accommodation provided on site. Casual opportunities with potential permanent placement are available for high-performing team members, in remote mining villages.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Experience in bulk catering or high-volume kitchens.
• Strong food safety knowledge and HACCP standards.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.

These are FIFO roles from Cairns on a 14:7 roster, working 11-hour days. Casual opportunities are available with the potential for permanent placement for high-performing employees.

About You

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
• Experience in bulk catering or high-volume kitchens
• Strong food safety and hygiene knowledge
• Able to work well in a team and independently
• Able to work in remote environments and varying weather conditions
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
