Job summary

Voyages Tourism Australia at Ayers Rock Resort in Yulara, NT is seeking a Demi Chef Pastry to join the on-site pastry team. You will produce quality pastry and desserts to resort standards and contribute to menu development.

With Certificate III in Patisserie and at least 2 years post-apprenticeship experience, you will help supervise junior pastry staff while maintaining HACCP and cost control. We offer relocation support up to $700, discounted accommodation, and resort discounts.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship pastry kitchen experience.
• Ability to work on-site in remote Ayers Rock area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce quality pastry and dessert items in line with resort standards.
• Supervise pastry team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels, portion control, and food costs to maintain budget targets and reduce wastage.
• Maintain HACCP and WHS procedures.
• Mentor junior pastry team members to uphold excellence across kitchen operations.

Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Chef De Partie Pastry to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.

We are seeking a passionate and Certificate III in Patisserie (or equivalent) qualified individual who is driven and focused with a desire to learn and succeed in a culinary/hospitality career. You will have minimum 2 years post apprenticeship experience working in a pastry kitchen team. This role will see you produce quality pastry items, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and meeting performance indicators including wage and food cost, quality standards and outlet presentation.

Key Duties

• Prepare and produce quality pastry and dessert items in line with resort standards and outlet requirements.
• Supervise and assist the pastry team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels, portion control, and food costs to maintain budget targets and reduce wastage.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in compliance with HACCP and WHS procedures.
• Support the training, mentoring, and development of junior pastry team members to uphold excellence across all kitchen operations.
