Job summary

Ayers Rock Resort is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT, 20 minutes from Uluru. This role requires a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and experience in multi-venue operations to lead our kitchen and maintain high quality and profitability.

You will help the Food & Beverage operations manager develop training programs and ensure associates have the skills and framework to perform their jobs while upholding culinary standards across outlets.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Experience with multi-venue kitchen operations is essential.
• On-site availability at Ayers Rock Resort, Yulara NT, is expected.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, cookery and guest service.
• Assist the kitchen management team with menu planning, inventory control, scheduling, ordering of kitchen supplies.
• Work closely with the kitchen management team to ensure kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently; assist with end-of-month activities and stock takes.
• Assist senior chefs during administrative tasks and maintain professional conduct and appearance.

An Epic Icon needs an Epic Team!Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Junior Sous Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.

We are currently seeking a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery Qualified Sous Chef who is highly skilled and experienced in Multi venue operations lead our Kitchen. In this role, you will oversee the operations of the kitchen operations ensuring the highest standards of quality and profitability. Your ultimate goal will be to provide excellent products and services to our guests while also driving sustainable and profitable outlets. It will be your responsibility to assist the Food & Beverage operations Manager in creating and maintaining training programs to ensure that our associates have the necessary skills and framework to effectively perform their jobs and maintain the highest standards of culinary services.

Key Duties

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, cookery and guest service.
• Assist the kitchen management Team with menu planning, inventory control, scheduling, ordering of kitchen supplies.
• Work closely with the kitchen management team to ensure kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently; and
• Assist senior chefs when necessary, during regular administration activities like End of Month, stock take count, inventories etc.
• Set an example of professional behaviours, including presentation and conduct, for all team member to follow.
