Job summary

Catering HQ is hiring a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef to join our kitchen teams at Castle Hill RSL, with opportunities in both Restaurant and Function/Event environments. You will contribute to quality, consistency and menu planning, and help lead daily kitchen operations on busy service days.

We value teamwork, flexibility and a positive attitude, with a focus on learning, food trends and guest satisfaction. On-shift luncheons and staff discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in prep, cooking and plating
• Interest in food trends and menu planning
• Ability to handle large service numbers

Responsibilities

• Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skills
• Demonstrate a keen interest in growing food trends, techniques and the ability to contribute to menu planning
• Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
• Ability to contribute to menu planning
• Ability to handle large service numbers
• Exceptional customer care and service skills and knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS
• Excellent supportive and leadership skill set
• Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn
• Honest and results focused - able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed
• Immaculate presentation and grooming
• Should be able to control and manage daily kitchen functions
