Job summary

The Fresh Collective is seeking a Chef de Partie to join The Gallery Café team at the Art Gallery of NSW on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will work as part of a professional hospitality group operating at iconic venues across Australia.

This role is based at the Art Gallery of NSW, offers approximately 38 hours per week, mostly daytime shifts with some Thursday work.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced café, restaurant or events environment.
• Strong grilling and service skills are highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills.
• Valid working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Based at the Art Gallery of NSW
• Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure efficient food production and quality control
• Prepare and present high-quality café food in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain the highest standards of food presentation, quality and cleanliness
• Contribute to menu changes inspired by gallery exhibitions
• Join a friendly, supportive kitchen team led by a strong Head Chef
