Job summary

The Fresh Collective, based at the Art Gallery of NSW in Sydney, is seeking a casual Level 6 cook to join a professional hospitality group.

You will work approximately 38 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday daytime roster, reporting to the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure efficient food production, quality control and presentation.

Bring a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, strong grilling and service skills, and a genuine passion for cooking with a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong grilling and service skills are highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure efficient food production and quality control.
• Maintain the highest standards of food presentation, quality and cleanliness.
• Contribute to menu changes inspired by gallery exhibitions.
• Join a friendly, supportive kitchen team led by a strong Head Chef.
