Clayton Utz in Perth is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our in‑house Catering team. This full‑time role involves cooking, menu planning, and mentoring kitchen staff in a fast‑paced corporate environment.

The ideal candidate has a relevant hospitality qualification and at least 3 years’ experience in fine dining or catering, with a strong focus on food safety and quality, teamwork, and adaptability to occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Relevant hospitality/culinary qualification.
• 3 years full time employment experience in a fine dining, corporate or catering environment.
• Passion for producing high quality, well‑presented food.
• Strong knowledge of day‑to‑day kitchen operations (including invoicing) and unwavering adherence to food safety, hygiene and allergen protocols.
• Strong work ethic and an ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent team work skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food for client functions and events.
• Assist in the preparation of menus for all meals and catered events.
• Mentor and train kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient food production.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented according to company standards, while maintaining consistency and quality.
• Oversee kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with WA health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, inventory, and stock levels.
• Manage food waste and maintain cost‑effective operations.
• Assist with online ordering, invoicing and pricing.
• Step in for the Sous Chef when required, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
