Job summary

Strait on the Beach at Holloways Beach in Cairns is seeking a chef-cook for day shifts from 7:30 am to about 3 pm.

This casual role offers 3–5 shifts per week, with weekend and public holiday work. You'll join a team of 10 in the wet season and 15+ in the dry season, cooking from an open kitchen with in-house bakery items.

We’re on the water and value a supportive environment and reliable, hands-on cooks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends and public holidays.
• Casual shifts with 3–5 shifts per week.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced cafe kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook cafe/breakfast items and in-house baked goods.
• Maintain open kitchen standards and food safety.
• Work as part of a team in a coastal cafe setting.
