Job summary

Lakeland Roadhouse on Mulligan Highway is seeking a Chef/Cook to join a busy highway kitchen. You will prepare meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week for locals and Cape-bound travellers.

Casual or full-time roles with visa sponsorship possible for the right person; experience in high-volume settings and a calm, practical approach are valued. Meals on shift are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cafe, pub, roadhouse or similar high-volume kitchen setting.
• Reliable availability including early starts and later finishes.
• Food safety certification is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work with front-of-house to ensure accurate, timely meals.

Lakeland Roadhouse is looking for a Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team, either casual or full-time. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week on the Mulligan Highway — the gateway to the Cape — so the pass can be quiet one hour and slammed the next.

What you will do

• Cook meals to ticket across breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Prep, restock, and keep the kitchen moving through rushes.
• Hold food safety and cleanliness standards on every shift.
• Work with front of house so meals go out accurately and on time.
• Help with closing, cleaning, and end-of-shift kitchen duties.
