Job summary

Ferntree Gully Bowling Club Inc in Ferntree Gully VIC is seeking an experienced Chef to join on a casual basis. You will prepare and deliver high-quality meals for members and guests, with a focus on tasty, well-presented dishes in a community-friendly setting.

The role is approx 20 hours per week, with evening and Saturday shifts. You should have formal culinary qualifications or equivalent experience, with a proven ability to work hygienically, manage time efficiently and contribute to menu

We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team at the Ferntree Gully Bowling Club on a casual basis. As our Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering delicious meals to our members and guests. What you’ll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality meals and dishes
• Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation
• Collaborating with the management team to develop and enhance the menu
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
• Providing excellent customer service to our members and guests

What we’re looking for

• Approx 20 hours per week and potential to cover holidays when required
• Would suit a Chef looking for a second job or extra hours
• Formal culinary qualifications or equivalent experience as a Chef
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality meals and exceptional customer service
• Positive attitude with strong work ethic
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Availability to work Evenings and Saturday nights
