Catering Industries Pty Ltd is hiring a Chef for an aged care facility in Mossman, QLD. The role involves producing nutritious meals, supporting menu design, and maintaining HACCP compliance in a high-volume kitchen.
You will work Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 3.00pm, with full training provided and the requirement to obtain a Police check. Aged care cooking experience is highly valued, and a Cert III in commercial cookery is desirable.

We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our team at a warm and welcoming aged care facility in Mossman, QLD.
You’ll be working closely with our Chef Manager and making a meaningful impact through nutritious, delicious meals for our residents.
Roster: Monday to Friday from 6.30am till 3.00pm.

3+ years'experience in a similar role -aged care experience highly regarded.
Cert III in commercial cookery desirable
Experience in large volume cooking as well as work autonomously and in group settings.
Reliable and punctual
Collaborativeand team player
Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.
Experienced in ordering, delivery and handling/control of stock.
Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.
Must have reliable transport.
Ability to produce high-quality meals in line with aged care food service/HACCP guidelines, Quality Assuranceprocedures including low and high care residents.
Assisting in menu design, changes and implementation.
Assist withputting away of deliveries & general kitchen clean up duties.
Responsible for preparation of special diets such as puree, gluten free and texture modified etc.
Excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
Function within a busy kitchen whilst working harmoniously with the team.
