Job summary

Catering Industries Pty Ltd in Romsey, VIC, is hiring Catering Assistants to join our client’s aged care facility kitchen team. You’ll provide meal service to residents and help with kitchen duties; shifts mix mornings and afternoons across Monday to Sunday, with rostering flexibility.

Offer includes competitive pay ($27.08/hr, $33.85/hr Mon–Fri) plus weekend and public holiday loadings; a stable roster and transport; a current Federal Police Check is required or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Current Federal Police Check or willing to obtain one.
• Aged Care experience is desirable but not required.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Empathy and respect toward residents, staff and clients.
• Access to reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Providing meal service to elderly residents
• Cleaning of serveries and dining room set up
• Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
• Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals
• Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
• Function set up and clear down
• Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks
• Food and beverage service

What You’ll Need

• A current Federal Police Check (or willingness to obtain one) is required for this role.
