SummitCare is seeking a motivated Fulltime Chef to join our Penrith catering team. You will be responsible for day-to-day preparation, delivery and service of meals that meet nutritional needs and customer choices.

You will report to the Manager, Accommodation and Services and ensure food safety, inventory control, and quality presentations for residents and staff across the home.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate III or IV in Hospitality/Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Minimum two years' experience in a Cook role within Aged Care/Commercial kitchen
• Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety practices
• Ability to communicate clearly with a diverse team
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present meals for large groups

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Chef (Fulltime) to join our catering team based at our Penrith home.

As the Cook, you will report to the Manager, Accommodation and Services and be responsible for the day to day preparation, delivery and service of delicious and nutritionally appropriate meals that reflect customer choice.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Food preparation, service, delivery and collection


• Ensuring the Food Safety Program is followed and records kept up to date


• Adhering to Speech Pathology recommendations


• Storage & Inventory Management


• Maintenance & cleanliness of the kitchen & service area


• Organising Kitchen equipment maintenance


• Ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders


• Providing good customer service and managing feedback in line with SummitCare's Feedback system

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current Criminal Record Check


• Completed a Certificate III or IV in Hospitality / Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification


• Minimum two (2) years' experience in a Cook role within Aged Care / Commercial kitchen environment


• Ability to communicate clearly & effectively ensuring cultural sensitivity is respected


• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current HACCP guidelines


• Experience in a wide range of cooking, diet and nutritional requirements


• Competent in food preparation & service, cooking & plating, with demonstrated experience cooking for a large group and in sandwich making


• Ability to supervise and coordinate catering staff with their daily duties


• Demonstrated ability to work within a team and without supervision
