• Diploma of Hospitality Management is required.
• Minimum two years of Chef experience in cafe/brunch/dining.
• Knowledge of breakfast, brunch and lunch preparation techniques.

• Ability to manage tasks in a busy kitchen and work in a team.

Position: Chef

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $77,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Quakers Hill NSW 2763

Our client is seeking is seeking a passionate Chef to join their team located in Quakers Hill, New South Wales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes in accordance with the café’s menu and quality standards.
• Assist with menu planning, recipe development and the introduction of new dishes and daily specials.
• Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency in taste, portion sizes and presentation.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels, monitor ingredient usage and assist with ordering kitchen supplies.
• Inspect the quality of ingredients and ensure food is stored, handled and prepared correctly.
• Monitor kitchen costs, minimise food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, workstations and food preparation areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to support smooth café operations and train staffs.

Requirements:

• Diploma of Hospitality Management
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Chef in a café, brunch venue, or casual dining environment
• Knowledge of breakfast, brunch and lunch preparation and cooking techniques.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to manage food preparation and cooking tasks in a busy kitchen environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
