The Wests Group Australia is seeking a qualified Chef for their Wests New Lambton catering team in Newcastle. The role offers full-time employment in a busy, professional kitchen with modern facilities, free onsite parking and career progression opportunities across The Wests Group.

Earn above-award permanent rates: Monday–Friday $32.54/hr, Saturday $48.80/hr, Sunday $56.94/hr. Rotating roster may include mornings, nights, weekends and split shifts.

Formación

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
• Commercial kitchen experience and sound food preparation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing and presenting high-quality meals during service.
• Completing food preparation, production and storage tasks.
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and presentation standards.
• Assisting with setup and close-down of service areas.
• Contributing to a clean, organised and safe kitchen.

The opportunity
Working across lunch and dinner services, you will help deliver consistent, quality food across Wests New Lambton’s Food Court, Bistro, New Beijing and other catering operations.

As part of our full-time catering team, you will work across a rotating roster that may include mornings, nights, weekends and split shifts.

What you will bring

• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster and split shifts where required.
