Job summary

Wests Group Australia in Newcastle, NSW, is seeking a friendly Part Time Scullery Attendant to support our busy catering team at Wests Mayfield. You will help keep back-of-house areas clean and well-organised, contributing to smooth service across our Bistro and Texas BBQ Grill.

This casual, part-time position involves split shifts across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with good availability on Fridays, weekends, and throughout the week. Training and a positive team culture are emphasised.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is desirable, but attitude and willingness to learn are valued.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment
• Clearing and cleaning tables when needed
• Maintaining clean and safe work areas
• Assisting with service set-up and pack down
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Ensuring all waste is disposed of appropriately

About the opportunity

We're on the lookout for a friendly and motivated Part Time Scullery Attendant to be the heart of our busy Catering team at Wests Mayfield. In this behind-the-scenes role, you'll play a key part in keeping everything running smoothly across our Bistro and Texas BBQ Grill.

As a Scullery Attendant, you'll play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our back-of-house areas. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Cleaning crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment
• Clearing and cleaning tables when needed
• Maintaining clean and safe work areas
• Assisting with service set-up and pack down
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Ensuring all waste is disposed of appropriately

This role requires flexibility to work split shifts across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, with good availability on Fridays, weekends, and throughout the week.

Above-award casual pay rates

• Monday to Friday: $28.00 per hour
• Saturday: $42.00 per hour
• Sunday: $49.00 per hour
