Job summary

Edge Early Learning is seeking a Chef to plan and prepare nutritious, seasonal meals for children from 6 weeks to school age. You will develop culturally inclusive menus and ensure food safety, collaborating closely with educators to weave nutrition into learning moments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of early childhood nutrition, food safety and allergy management.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday during centre operating hours.
• Current Working with Children Check and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious, seasonal meals and snacks for children aged 6 weeks to school age.
• Develop menus using Feed Australia while accommodating allergies, cultural and dietary requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean and compliant kitchen environment.
• Manage ordering, stock control and minimise food waste.
• Partner with educators to make food and nutrition part of children's learning experiences.
