Job summary

Longboards Laidback Eatery and Bar in Surfers Paradise is seeking a skilled Chef to join our dynamic team. You will assist the Head Chef, prepare and cook high-quality dishes, and help develop new menu items in a fast-paced, friendly kitchen.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Formal culinary training and chef qualifications.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensure smooth service.

• Maintain inventory and rotate stock appropriately.
• Assist in ordering and receiving supplies.

Longboards Laidback Eatery & Bar, situated under the iconic Q1 building in Surfers Paradise, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chef to join our dynamic team. If you are a qualified chef with a great attitude, a team player, and possess a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you!

• Assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu and standards.
• Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials.
• Maintaining inventory levels and ensuring proper stock rotation.
• Assisting in the ordering and receiving of supplies.
• Ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Formal culinary training and relevant qualifications as a chef.
• A positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
