Job summary

Steampunk Surfers Paradise is seeking an experienced Chef to join the Kitchen Team. This role focuses on leading a high-volume kitchen, delivering consistent, high-quality dishes and mentoring a team on the Gold Coast.

• Proven experience running high-volume kitchens.

• Minimum 1 year of related kitchen experience.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of dishes according to menu and recipe guides.
• Create specialty dishes based on your creative flair.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation areas.
• Maintain food stock and prep levels and re-order when appropriate.
• Lead, supervise, coach and develop team members enabling them to meet their full potential.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Maintain food stock and prep levels and re-orderwhen appropriate
• Implement food safety best practicesLiaise with management and facility staff
• Lead, supervise, coach and develop team members enabling them to meet their full potential

Skills and Experience required

• At least 1yearof related experience
• Have the ability to work nights & weekends
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Have passion for working with food in a hands on capacity
• Work well under pressure
• Confidently run a service un-supervised
